Diets 10, 5, and 3 for weight loss and good health

Power system by numbers

Many years ago, doctors developed a special system of therapeutic nutrition by numbers or so-called tables. Those who have been in sanatoriums have probably come across this. Each patient receives a table number according to their disease. Such a table includes only those foods that are not contraindicated, but rather useful for a particular disease.

The therapeutic diet by table numbers takes into account all aspects of treatment: what is possible and what is harmful; what vitamins are most important for a weakened body; How high in calories should food be? In total, there are 15 dietary tables, divided by disease. Some of them have multiple versions.

Diets 10, 5, and 3 for weight loss and good health

Therapeutic diet tables

Dietary table No. 1 is intended for patients with exacerbations of gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers in the recovery stage. If these are the first days of treatment of acute gastritis or ulcers, then the direction will be written out on the dietary table 1A. There is also table 1B, which is usually the final chord in clinical nutrition for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Diet table No. 2 is prescribed for chronic colitis and enteritis at any stage of the disease, but only if there are no concomitant diseases.

In chronic bowel diseases without exacerbation, dietary table No. 3 is used. But with exacerbations accompanied by diarrhea, treatment table No. 4 will help to cope. Its variation 4B is the next step, when the disease has already subsided. It can also be used for concomitant diseases of the digestive system. Table No. 4B is aimed at a smooth transition from diet to regular food.

Treatment table No. 5 is indicated for liver cirrhosis , as well as acute and sluggish forms of diseases such as hepatitis, cholecystitis and cholelithiasis. Table No. 5A is prescribed in the initial stage of these diseases, and 5P - exclusively for pancreatitis.

With urolithiasis and gout, food at table number 6 is ideal.

Tables with number 7 are divided into 5 types. The number seven itself will help patients with nephritis in a chronic form or at the stage of recovery, provided there are no exacerbations and kidney failure. No. 7A will help with more severe forms of nephritis and kidney failure. They switch to dietary table No. 7B either after table 7A, or in case of chronic nephritis with concomitant diseases. Chronic renal failure is treated using table No. 7B, and in the terminal stage - 7G.

Dietary table No. 8 is intended for obese patients.

For patients with diabetes with the selection of the exact doses of insulin, table No. 9 is provided.

Diet No. 10 is indicated for patients with cardiovascular diseases with a degree of circulatory failure not higher than IIA. No. 10A - with the same disease with circulatory failure IIB-III. For patients who have had a myocardial infarction, a special table has been allocated at number 10I. And for patients with ischemic disease and hypertension with concomitant atherosclerosis - treatment table No. 10C.

There is also a special diet for people with an emaciated state after injuries and operations, as well as various forms of tuberculosis - this is table number 11.

In diseases of the nervous system of a functional type, a therapeutic diet with the number 12 is recommended.

Doctors did not bypass infectious diseases. Table No. 13 is provided for their treatment.

Dietary table No. 14 is used for urolithiasis.

And, finally, the final table No. 15 is recommended either for diseases that do not require special nutrition, or for the transition to normal nutrition after therapeutic diets at the final stage of recovery.

With the same disease, by the decision of the doctor, completely different tables can be prescribed. In fact, the diagnosis is not the main thing in determining the therapeutic diet, it is necessary to consider the patient's condition in the complex: concomitant diseases, the degree of exacerbation, the general condition of the body. Even the season can influence this choice, since, for example, spring is associated with severe beriberi.

Do not neglect a strict diet during illness, because it is not in vain that doctors have been developing and honing this system for many years. Proper nutrition is the key to health.
